Cruizin' in Mexico

We just got back from a totally awesome cruise in Mexico with the Rich family. Cruising is definately THE way to vacation. Seriously, no work and all play! It's the best.

We started our trip in LA and took off on Sunday evening. We sailed until Tuesday morning when we docked in Cabo San Lucas. In Cabo, we caught a water taxi to Lover's Beach -very calm waters, quite pleasant and to Divorce Beach - incredibly HUGE waves that knock you down if you're prepared or not!

The next stop was Mazatlan. We took an interesting little boat ride across the harbor to a beach resort. We rode horses, Anna's horse was Johanna, Pat's was Gringo - he only had one eye....just like Sammy Davis Jr! They fed us DELICIOUS quesadillas and chicken....hopefully it wasn't Mexican chicken since we learned that Mexican chicken is a pelican. Then we played in the water trying to body surf the waves.

Our last stop was Peurto Vallarta. It was absolutely beautiful. We caught a taxi driven by Gustavo. He's very nice and everyone was his sister, brother or father! He took us to a small town, Mismaloya (made famous by the movie Night of the Iguana) and a jungle called El Eden (where they filmed Predator). We played on a rope swing there and slid down a natural rock waterfall.

The last two days were devoted to sailing, rock climbing, playing shuffle board, playing Pit and entering the trivia contests. Pat won the Mr. Hairy Legs AND the Mr. Tourist Legs in a contest. His brother Ben won the Mr. Muscle legs and Coby took over the Mr. Tourist legs from Pat.

The cruise was a blast and we want to sennd out a million thank you's to Jim and Joanne for taking us on it!
You can check out all our pictures in the photo album on the side or watch some video from our trip all the way at the bottom of the page. The one that is Anna and Babar was filmed without my knowledge just so you know.

i know i'm not a girl so i'm probably not allowed to make a comment on your blog, but i decided to try it anyway. that sounds like a very fun trip. you will have to come out here next and we can rent a place with the family on the beach. no "full movies" were actually filmed here so it's not as cool as mexico but i've heard rumors that the one part in home alone when kevin finishes shaving and then slaps aftershave on and screams "aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!"... i've heard they thought about filming that very part somewhere in this area, so.........
