Since last time we have tiled the hearth
put in the baseboards and casing and filled the holes
And patched the ceiling in the bathroom
Before we (joe) could patch the ceiling, we (Jim and Joe) had to fix the burst pipe that caused the hole this last Christmas eve.
Which taught me to be wary of hot tin which can drip during the joining process.
These are my burns on may 9th.
And here they are today, May 17th. To be fair, there was something wrong with one of the elbow joints and it wasn't accepting the tin and that's why it sloughed off and hit my arm and my dads foot.
Anyway. Thanks to help from Lance, Coby, Joe and to a lesser extend, Ben we got the furniture moved down this last Saturday so we can start enjoying our new room.
There is still a long way to go though. We need to finish the bathroom and then START on the nursery. I got the nursery, formerly known as the "room of doom" cleared out last night with the help of my friend Mike. Just check out how much stuff we took our of there!
For reference that is a trailer 4.5 feet deep by 11 feet long by 4.5 feet wide. or a little over 200 cubic feet of camping stuff and desk. Here is the result:
A clean Slate...mostly. In the next few days we will be cleaning, sanding, priming and painting. The we can start putting it all together.
Also, We will actually start posting baby stuff soon too. Anna isn't keen to have pregnancy pictures taken and posted but here is one with her and my mom.
So. There you have it. More basement news than any other news outlet covering the Rich's basement remodel. Guaranteed!
